Requesting a transfer: Users, Social Sets, Accounts, and Teams

What do the different parts of my account mean regarding transfers?

Updated today

There may come a time when you need to transfer a subscription, accounts, team, or drafts. To ensure a smooth transfer, we'd like to share what we mean when we ask for information.

You can reach out on our live chat or support email [email protected] to request a transfer, and we'll help you out.

To make the transfer smooth, all we ask is that you familiarise yourself with the core concepts so you can make a detailed transfer request:

Core concepts

  1. Typefully user: where subscriptions live.

  2. Social sets: where Accounts and drafts live.

  3. Accounts: X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon.

  4. Teams: where collaborators and shared social sets live.

1. Typefully user

This is what you log in to Typefully with. Depending on how you've signed up, this can be your X account, LinkedIn account, or email.

2. Social set

A social set is a collection of social media accounts for a person or brand. They let you cross-post to multiple platforms.

Social sets can also be shared with a team. This means that other users who are members of that team will be able to collaborate on the drafts and publish on the accounts in the social set.

3. Account

This is any connected social account inside the social sets, where you can publish and schedule content. For example, your X, LinkedIn, and Threads account.

You can connect multiple accounts to a social set, but only one per social platform.

4. Team

Teams have members (you and any other Typefully Users who joined via an invite) who can collaborate on the social sets shared with that team.

If you're a team owner, you're the only one who can access the billing of the teams, but both owners and team admins can manage the social sets in a team.
