Typefully is a powerful social media scheduler that lets you publish across multiple platforms, including š, LinkedIn, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky, and Substack.
And with the calendar in Plan, you and your team can see every account's content in one place, plan ahead, and manage your content at scale.
How to schedule in the editor
Click the orange Schedule button and pick a time. Use Next slot to fill in your next free posting slot, Browse queue to pick a spot in your schedule, or Best time for a suggested time based on your audience.
Then either click Confirm to schedule the post, or click Save as planned to put it on the calendar without scheduling it.
Once scheduled, your posts appear in the Queue tab of the sidebar and in the calendar. Planned posts appear there too, shown with a dashed outline.
To reschedule, just drag and drop them to a new time slot.
š” Pro Tip: If your post hasnāt gone live yet, you can edit it, and your changes will automatically update in the schedule.
Planned vs. scheduled
A scheduled post publishes automatically at its time. A planned post sits on the calendar but will not publish until you schedule it. To turn a plan into a scheduled post, open it and click the Schedule button.

The calendar: all your accounts in one place
Open Plan to see your planned, scheduled, and published posts in one calendar. The calendar shows posts across all the social sets you have access to, and each account gets its own color, so a busy week stays readable at a glance.
Use the sidebar to control what the calendar shows:
Click an account to see only its posts. Click it again to go back to seeing everything.
Click a team name to see the whole team.
Use the checkboxes to combine any set of accounts.
Press Esc to show everything again.
You can also use the Filter menu to filter by status (planned, scheduled, published, failed), platform, or tag.
Three views
The calendar has three views:
Flex shows as many weeks as your screen allows.
Month shows a full month, day by day.
Week shows seven days, hour by hour.
Press V to cycle through views, or jump straight to one with F, M, or W. Use the arrow keys to move between weeks or months, and T to jump back to today.
Create posts from the calendar
Hover over a day and click +, or click an empty time slot.
A quick composer opens right there: pick the account, write your post, add tags, and click Create draft.
Posts created from the calendar start as planned, so they won't publish until you schedule them. To place an existing draft instead, click Drafts in the composer, pick one, and click Plan draft.
Reschedule with drag and drop
Drag any post to a new day or time to move it. Rescheduling never changes a post's status: a planned post stays planned, a scheduled post stays scheduled.
Drop a post onto another post from the same account to swap their times. Handy when you want to reorder a day without redoing it.
š” Pro Tip: Made a mistake?
Every move comes with an Undo button in the toast.
Manage posts without leaving the calendar
Click any post to open it in a side panel. From there you can:
Preview the post and how it looks per platform
Change its time, schedule or unschedule it, or remove its planned date
Publish now
Edit its title and tags
See its Activity history
Duplicate it, copy it to another social set, or delete it
To make bigger edits, click Open editor.
Customize the display
Open the Display menu in the calendar header to:
Switch between expanded and compact cards
Show or hide platform icons and tags on cards
Show or hide empty schedule slots (when a single account is in focus)
Start your week on Monday or Sunday
š” Pro Tip: The calendar can show times in a different timezone than an account's own. Click the timezone button in the calendar header to switch the display timezone. Scheduling itself always uses the Social Set's timezone.

On mobile
The calendar needs a bigger screen. On mobile, manage your posts from the Queue tab instead. Your planned and scheduled posts are all there.
Advanced Scheduling Tips
Saved schedule slots
Typefully lets you set your preferred posting times by adding specific time slots when your content usually performs best. These custom slots appear in your queue and calendar, making it easier to schedule around your most effective times.
This is especially helpful if youāre collaborating with a team, as it gives everyone a clear overview of the optimal posting windows.
Go to the Scheduling tab in settings.
Click on Add suggested times or manually add the time slots you prefer. These slots will then appear in your weekly schedule and calendar, guiding you to schedule content at the times most likely to perform well.
Suggested Times
Typefully can recommend suggested posting times on X based on your audienceās engagement. Instead of guessing when your posts might perform best, you can rely on these insights to schedule drafts at the times most likely to drive reach and interaction.
Natural Posting Times
Scheduling posts at the exact same minute every time can sometimes feel robotic or automated.
To help your content feel more authentic, Typefully offers Natural Posting Times.
When enabled, your scheduled posts will publish with a slight variation of up to ±4 minutes from your chosen time. For example, if you schedule a post for 10:00 AM, it may go live at 9:57 AM or 10:03 AM.
You can toggle this across all the time and date pickers.
And you can set a default in your settings as well.
