Share your long-form posts on Typefully

If you're an X Premium user, it's now possible to publish and schedule long-form posts directly through Typefully. X Premium users can write posts with up to 25,000 characters, whether as standalone posts or as part of a thread.

While you can publish and schedule these long-form posts, the current limitations of the X Developer platform means that formatting (such as bold or italic text) is not supported in automated publishing.

Publish and schedule long-form posts without formatting

It’s possible to publish long-form posts up to 25,000 characters per post, directly through Typefully.

Simply create a regular X draft and write your content.

Features such as media support, AI rewrites, and scheduling will work as they would any other post.

If you are getting an error when trying to publish, the most likely reason is that you do not have 𝕏 Premium.

You'll be easily able to spot which accounts have 𝕏 Premium or not as it will be featured next to your username.

Create a long-form posts with formatting

At this time, the X API doesn't support formatting for long-form posts.

This is why we have a separate long-form editor that supports formatting and inline media. One caveat is that it requires you to copy and paste the text on X/Twitter in order to publish it.

You can create a long-form draft with formatting using this option:

Alternatively, if you try to add formatting to a regular Twitter / X draft, you'll be presented with the option to convert it:

If you try to publish your long-form draft with formatting or inline media, you'll see a flow to copy and paste the text over to X / Twitter in order to publish it manually.
