Draft Activity is a timeline in the right sidebar that shows everything that has happened to a draft — who created it, who edited it, when it was scheduled or published, and where the change came from. It updates in real time and is available on all drafts.
How to view Draft Activity
Open any draft in Typefully.
Click the Info Sidebar icon in the upper-right of the draft editor, or use the shortcut
Ctrl + \on Windows/Linux andCmd + \on Mac.In the Info Sidebar, go to the Activity section.
You’ll see a timeline of recent activity and changes for that draft, with the most recent activity shown first.
If the sidebar is collapsed, click the sidebar toggle to expand it.
What Draft Activity tracks
Each entry in the timeline shows who made the change, when it happened, and what was changed. Here's what gets logged:
Created — When the draft was first created, and by whom.
Edited — Content or settings changes, with details on which fields were modified (e.g. X content, LinkedIn content, Threads content, Bluesky content, Mastodon content, Tags, Title, Scratchpad, reply settings, and more). If multiple fields were changed at once, you can expand to see all of them.
Scheduled — When the draft was scheduled, rescheduled, or unscheduled. Hover over the entry to see the exact date and time.
Published — When the draft was published.
Change sources
Draft Activity also shows where a change came from. Changes made in the Typefully app don't show a badge, but changes from external sources are labeled:
API — Change made via the Typefully API.
Zapier — Change made through a Zapier integration.
MCP — Change made by an AI agent or MCP integration.
Clicking a source badge takes you to the relevant integration settings.
Common use cases
Verify post-approval edits — Check whether a draft was modified after it was reviewed and approved. If the last edit happened before your review, you know the content is unchanged.
Track feedback follow-ups — See at a glance whether a draft was updated after you left comments, without having to re-read the entire draft or message the writer.
Monitor team progress — Open any draft to see when it was last worked on and by whom — no need to ask for status updates.
Audit automation changes — If your team uses the API, Zapier, or MCP agents to create or modify drafts, Draft Activity shows exactly what was changed and when, so you can verify automation is working as expected.
Good to know
Draft Activity is read-only. It provides a history of changes, but you cannot undo or restore previous versions from the activity log.
Draft Activity does not include line-by-line text diffs. It shows which fields changed, but not the exact text that was added or removed.
Activity updates in real time, so you'll see new changes appear automatically as teammates edit and save drafts.
